Aldinga Beach and Port Willunga will be the next Adelaide suburbs boosted by new rail links.

The seaside suburbs in the far south of the Adelaide metropolitan area will benefit from an $800 million project to extend rail links there, once the current extension to Seaford is completed.

The Aldinga Beach/Port Willunga precinct is a new entry to the Top 10 South Australia Hotspots report. http://www.hotspotting.com.au/report/42-top-10-south-australia-hotspots

The new edition of the SA report, now available on the hotspotting.com.au website, details the underlying strength of the state’s economy, with …

  • a growing resources sector;
  • a major industry in Defence contracts including the $8 billion AWD project;
  • a nation-leading sector in developing alternative energy facilities; and
  • an extensive list of new infrastructure under construction in Adelaide.

Infrastructure projects include a new hospital costing over $1 billion, improvements to rail links, the $800 million South Road upgrade, the expansion of the Southern Expressway and a $1 billion desalination plant.
