Woodside Petroleum's plan for a second liquefied natural gas processing train at its Pluto project in WA has been bolstered by a gas find. The company has encountered indications of gas at its Noblige-1 exploration well, where drilling continues to determine the number of hydrocarbon zones. Woodside is seeking enough gas to underpin a second train at Pluto and has considered buying gas from other parties, but remains focused on acquiring the gas through exploration success. Construction of the first processing train at Pluto is about 83% complete.
