Redland City - South East Queensland
The municipality of Redland City, a former market garden region on Brisbane’s bayside, has caught the attention of the State Government and is destined for some diverse development.
Two precincts within Redland City have been marked as Priority Development Areas. These bring promise of a new marina, revitalised retail, dining and entertainment areas, upgraded transport infrastructure (both marine and road), retirement villages and higher-density residential construction.
Population growth and developer incentives are touted as being just two of the key drivers of future activity in Redland City.
Only half an hour from central Brisbane, Redland City has easy access to the Port of Brisbane, and to the Brisbane and Gold Coast airports, providing opportunities for trade and export. This precinct is one of Brisbane’s largest jobs nodes.
The region’s property market appeals for its relative affordability and recent rises in sales activity are translating into house price growth, which to date has been moderate. Vacancies well below the Brisbane average are a standout feature.
