City of Onkaparinga, South-eastern suburbs of Adelaide
A steady performer for many years, the City of Onkaparinga has now made its way to the top of the Adelaide list in terms of the number of suburbs with rising buyer demand.
The City is a location that ticks a lot of boxes for investors. It has lifestyle, affordability, improved transport links, economic growth drivers, population growth and proximity to major jobs nodes.
The completion of two pieces of key transport infrastructure - the extension of rail links to Seaford and duplication of the Southern Expressway - have delivered faster access to the Adelaide CBD and made the region more accessible.
Work on the $620 million upgrade of the Darlington Expressway, which will further improve connectivity in Adelaide’s north-south corridor, has begun.
The City of Onkaparinga Council is actively courting outside investors, using plans to revitalise the Noarlunga precinct with a $400 million redevelopment as a lure.
Over the next 20 years, the region is expected to receive an influx of 48,000 additional residents, making it one of Adelaide’s strongest growth areas.
