City of Salisbury - Northern Suburbs of Adelaide, SA
The City of Salisbury is going through a mini-construction boom as medium-scale projects generate thousands of jobs, driving the economy forward in 2019.
Salisbury Council says projects totalling $400 million have either been recently completed, are under construction or are awaiting planning approval, while a further $217 million worth of medium-sized developments are proposed.
The strength of the local economy is built around major hubs for business, logistics and the Defence Force – and they are all attracting investment in new projects. The former Holden manufacturing site in Elizabeth has new tenants and is on its way to becoming a high-tech manufacturing hub which will accommodate 1,600 new jobs.
All this activity has buoyed the property market. Hotspotting’s quarterly surveys of buyer demand show that six suburbs in the Salisbury LGA have rising sales activity. The low price points appeal to both first-home buyers and investors on a budget.
Rents are generally rising and vacancy rates are low, providing opportunities for entry-level investors.
This report includes the suburbs of Burton, Elizabeth Park, Hillbank, Ingle Farm, Parafield Gdns, Paralowie, Pooraka, Salisbury, Salisbury Downs, Salisbury East and Salisbury North.
