Casey City - Far south-east of Melbourne, VIC
The City of Casey is one of Melbourne’s strongest property markets, with massive sales levels and very strong price growth.
This reflects the area’s strong local economy, which has generated population growth, jobs and expanding infrastructure.
The Victorian Government’s long-term planning document – Plan Melbourne – has identified several suburbs in the City of Casey LGA to play a major role in service delivery and creating employment.
Narre Warren, headquarters for the LGA, was named as a metropolitan activity centre, while the Berwick area (with Monash University and Casey Hospital) was named as a health and education precinct.
An upturn in commercial development activity began in 2015 with at least five major projects creating 3,730 new jobs. In addition, the planned Berwick Health, Innovation and Education Precinct is expected to provide 11,000 new jobs and the Casey Central Town Centre will require 5,200 workers.
Rapid population growth in the area demands new housing estates and, with improved access to central Melbourne via the Monash Freeway, Casey promises to be a strong performer for property owners.
