Echuca - Regional Victoria
The pretty riverside town of Echuca thrives on tourism, based on its heyday of paddle steamers and river trade.
Located in the heartland of the Goulburn Valley, Echuca is part of a region which is one of the nation’s biggest producers of dairy products and is also where peaches, pears and apricots are grown.
Within striking distance is the City of Shepparton and Australia’s largest processor of canned fruits, SPC Ardmona.
In recent years, Echuca’s housing affordability has made it popular for retirees and tree changers. Its property market has enjoyed a uniform sales pattern over the last five years, earning it a regular place on our National Top 50 list for consistency.
Over the last 12 months, Echuca’s median house price has risen 14% but remains affordable, providing opportunity for both entry level buyers and down-sizers.
This report covers the towns of Echuca, Moama & Tongala.
