$1.2bil expansion for Newcastle port

Newcastle port has the world’s largest coal export facility – and work is under way to increase output at two of its terminals - but Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group is planning to further expand its capacity. NCIG, which includes BHP, Centennial Coal and Felix Resources, is seeking expressions of interest for a $.2 billion expansion which would double the capacity at the port’s third terminal.
