$100mil project answers Port Hedland shortage

A $100 million accommodation village will be built at Port Hedland to address the shortage of accommodation for mine workers. The Port Haven complex will be built by catering and facilities management group Compass on 12ha near the Port Hedland airport leased from the local council. The complex will provide accommodation for up to 1,200 people, with facilities including pool, gym, tennis court, cinema, bar, bowling green and indoor cricket.
