$1bil to make Sydney the medical research capital

The Federal Government  is set to approve a $1billion roll-out for a network of medical research units across Sydney  to make the city the “world’s research capital”, reports The Daily Telegraph. The list of projects includes: $35 million for the Ingham Research Centre at Liverpool Hospital, $100 million for the Neuroscience Medical Research centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital, $100 million for the Children's Cancer Institute at the University of NSW, $120 million for the Millenium Institute for Childhood Disease at Westmead and $200 million for a Hunter Medical research Institute in Newcastle.
