$50mil trainee plan for Gladstone project

SANTOS and partner Petronas have unveiled their $50 million plan to generate apprenticeship/trainee positions as part of the new Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas project. The first stage of proposed investment in a jobs and training plan, being rolled out over the next five years, will provide positions in the Roma and Gladstone regions. The training plan includes positions for 100 apprentices and traineeships in plant operations, investment in secondary schools and university scholarships, and an indigenous training package to support a target of 300 indigenous jobs.
