$80 million facelift for Redcliffe shops

Developers have submitted plans to council for an $80 million makeover of the Kippa-Ring Village shopping centre on the Redcliffe Peninsula north of Brisbane. The centre will be expanded to offer 14,000m2 of retail, including a Woolworths store, 30-40 specialty shops, banks and a a medical centre. There will also be a two-storey office building. Developers expect construction on the 3.5ha site tol commence early in 2009.
