$90mil spent to find Vic gold

Victoria is experiencing another gold rush, with an estimated 80 million ounces of gold worth $70 billion believed to be still in the ground, according to The Herald Sun. Companies spent a record $90 million exploring for the precious metal last year, focusing on the central goldfields around Ballarat and Bendigo and in parts of Gippsland. There are currently four big mines in Victoria - five years ago there was one.
