ACT Govt lifts spending on infrastructure

The ACT Government has announced $44 million in infrastructure projects as a precursor to the May Budget. They include improvements to schools, road upgrades and refurbishment of public buildings such as the Canberra Institute of Technology. The Government has also brought forward $25 million in capital works, including child care and public housing projects.  It has also announced it will bypass planning laws to fast-track $230 million in spending on schools from the Federal Government’s stimulus package.
