Adelaide police HQ under way

Construction of the $100 million Angas St Police Headquarters in Adelaide has started. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2011. The five-star energy-rated building will house 1,000 staff on its nine floors as a hub for branches including Firearms, Records, Prosecutors, Anti Corruption and Sexual Crimes Investigation. It follows a $6.5 million upgrade to Christies Beach complex, $8 million towards the construction of a Roxby Downs facility and $10 million for a new police station at Murray Bridge.
