Adelaide rail yards relocated for new hospital

Adelaide’s North Terrace rail site will be relocated and the existing rail facility at Lonsdale will be expanded to make way for the Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Hospital. The northern yard will be operational next to the existing Dry Creek railway station by 2010 and Lonsdale expansions will be finished by 2011. The plans are part of a $2 billion investment in rail and the State Government’s hopes to “revolutionise the state’s public transport system”.
