Apartments overlooked in housing statistics

THE importance of dwellings other than detached housing is too often overlooked. Most analysis of residential property is expressed in terms of what's happening with houses.

When the media report movements in residential prices, they're speaking about houses. We hear little about trends in apartments and townhouses, despite their growing prevalence in the nation's bigger cities.
