Canberra plan to provide Sydney

Canberra Airport management has released a draft master plan which sees the facility becoming the second airport for Sydney, with the two cities connected by high-speed train. It says passengers could be shuttled from Canberra Airport to Sydney in 50 minutes. Infrastructure Australia has included the very fast train project on its shortlist of projects warranting further analysis. The Federal Government has said it wants a second airport for Sydney to be located outside the Sydney basin and linked with high-speed transport.
