Council seeks federal help to stop power station

A Sydney council has asked the Federal Government to stop a power station which is planned for the city’s south-west. Campbelltown Council, one of three local authorities strongly opposed to the Leafs Gully gas-fired power station, has referred the matter to the Federal Government after the NSW State Government used special planning power to approve it as “critical infrastructure”.
