Funding for carbon capture projects

Two Queensland carbon capture and storage projects are among four in Australia that have been given funding to test the technology's viability. The Federal Government is spending $120 million to test the viability of four clean coal technology projects. The Government has allocated funding to the ZeroGen power project, west of Gladstone in central Queensland, and the Wandoan power project, west of Brisbane. A plant in Western Australia and another in Victoria will also get funding.
