In the Media... Hot Locations Around Australia

On Saturday 6th October I was interviewed by Sky News - Real Estate about some of the hottest locations in our recent Ryder Report.

The Ryder Report gives a nationwide overview of property markets with additional articles of interest to investors.

One of the featured locations in the September edition was Ipswich City in SE QLD.

Ipswich appeals as a market offering affordability and ongoing strong demand fuelled by population growth and the emergence of major jobs nodes.

Strong population growth boosted by the availability of land for new housing has led to Ipswich being named one of the fastest-growing markets in Australia. This is being accompanied by major spending on infrastructure.

Canberra also featured as a strong and rising market. Canberra differs from other Australian cities for one simple reason – proactive designing which began 100 years ago. This level of planning for population growth means infrastructure is budgeted for and accommodated in advance - and the District of Gungahlin is about to reap the rewards.

Our latest Price Predictor Index also shows that the Belconnen District is the clear market leader in Canberra, by a considerable margin. It has seven rising suburbs and others with steady sales performance.

The strong sales data reflects other statistics depicting a strong Canberra market. Vacancies remain below 1%, rents are rising strongly and there is evidence of solid price growth.

Perth is a city in major recovery mode, evidenced by rising sales activity and a significant uplift in prices in the Top End suburbs. There are now large numbers of suburbs recording consistent sales activity, in addition to those with rising markets. Some areas to consider are JoondalupStirlingand Cockburn, or you can find out ALL the best locations on Perth in our Top 5 Perth Hotspotsreport.

For more information on these areas, our Location Reports give you the economic and demographic background to the area plus upcoming infrastructure projects that are driving local economic growth.
