LNG may earn Qld Govt $1bil a year

LNG projects at Gladstone could earn the Queensland Government $1 billion per year in royalties. Eight gas projects are in planning for the region, with a total capital cost of about $40 billion. A potential 18,000 jobs could be created. Premier Anna Bligh says LNG has the potential to do for Queensland what coal did in the 70s and 80s.
