Nearly half of all homes in South East Queensland are now valued at over $1 million, with over 310 suburbs across the state crossing the millionaire median threshold. New data reveals 325 Queensland suburbs—spanning both houses and units—now have median prices above $1 million. Notably, Daisy Hill, Wynnum West, Beerburrum and Palmwoods joined the list after experiencing strong double-digit growth.
Logan’s Underwood and Shailer Park, Kurwongbah in Moreton Bay, and several suburbs across Brisbane and the Gold Coast have also passed the milestone. Brisbane’s median house price is now edging closer to $1 million, sitting at a record $977,000, while the Sunshine and Gold Coasts have already surged beyond that mark. According to PropTrack’s Home Price Index, Brisbane could hit the million-dollar mark within six to eight months if current growth continues.
A recent report by Propertybuyer and Hotspotting highlights strong demand driven by interstate migration, lifestyle appeal and relative affordability. Queensland suburbs such as Capalaba, Coombabah, Upper Coomera and Woombye are now poised to reach $1 million median prices. With 1194 suburbs nationwide already hitting this benchmark, the state’s property market shows no sign of slowing down.
